MR DEEDS

 

Mr Deeds Is a 2002 film in which Adam Sandler plays the lead character Long Fellow Deeds. He is the heir to a 40 billion Dollar fortune and when asked to travel to New York until the deal is sorted. A number of things unfold for him. While in New York he meets the Hilarious butler Emelio played by John Tutturro and they become friends. While other people just want to put him down and make him feel small.

 

The film is more than a comedy it is a heart felt story and Deeds falls in love with a news reporter who is trying to make a fool out of him for there story. It seems like everyone is against him until she falls in love with him. His love interest is played by Winona Ryder and there is also a number of other great actors in this film.

 

Towards the end of the film Deeds go's back to his town of Mandrake Falls and go's back to life as normal until he realises he must stop the executives from ruining the company he inherited.  When he turns up he manages to persuade everyone that it is the wrong thing to do and we find out that the hilarious Emilio is actually the rightful heir to the money. The film then ends happilly.

 

The film is hilarious with many funny scenes including the scene where Sandler is singing in the helicopter. and also the sneakiness of Emelio.
